(ITA): Anticipato dall'omonimo singolo, in distribuzione in free download per Som Non-Label dallo scorso 25 marzo, Mojo rising è l'ep d'esordio dei siciliani Concreat. Quartetto palermitano orientato alla psichedelia e al desert-stoner rock, ma con un occhio sempre rivolto alla melodia, la band composta da Riccardo Villanti (voce, chitarra, tastiere), Manfredi Mazziotta (voce, chitarre), Gaetano Solazzo (voce, basso) e Marco Villanti (batteria, percussioni), debutta con un album di sei energiche tracce, tra scenari ricchi di pathos ed un'attitudine retrò nascosta tra distorsioni ed effetti visionari.

Mojo Rising è stato registrato e mixato agli 800A Studios, tra luglio e novembre 2013, da Fabio Rizzo (WAINES, Black Eyed Dog, Le Formiche, VeneziA, Hank).

Quartet from Palermo, oriented to psychedelic and desert-stoner rock, with a strong sense of melody, the band formed by Riccardo Villanti (voice, guitars, keyboards), Manfredi Mazziotta (voice, guitars), Gaetano Solazzo (voice, bass) and Marco Villanti (drums, percussions), debuts with an energic six-track-album, submerged in empathic scenarios and characterized by a vintage style, hidden between distortions and visionary effects.

Mojo Rising has been recorded and mixed at 800A Studios, between July and November of 2013, by Fabio Rizzo (WAINES, Black Eyed Dog, Le Formiche, VeneziA, Hank).

(ITA): I Concreat si formano nel 2008 a Palermo. Iniziano come trio composto da due chitarre e batteria seguendo quel filone blues-garage che annovera band come Blues Explosion, Black Keys e White Stripes. Registrano varie take domestiche e si lanciano in una lunga attività live che culmina con la registrazione di una prima demo registrata e mixata da Luca Macaluso (chitarrista dei GRANPA).

La direzione intrapresa, più votata ad un approccio “sporco” e spontaneo, però non soddisfa più i tre membri della band che prendono una pausa di riflessione.
L’esigenza di sperimentare sonorità differenti li avvicina alla Psichedelia e al Desert-Stoner rock senza mai dimenticare la grande passione per I Beatles che accomuna tutti i membri.

L'ingresso nel 2012 di un quarto elemento al basso e l'utilizzo delle tastiere nella composizione dei pezzi definiscono una svolta ed un radicale cambiamento che si concretizza nella prima esperienza in studio.
Registrano il primo pezzo “Tea in the desert” agli 800A Studios: il brano riscuote un discreto successo locale e viene trasmesso da diverse radio. Così ritornano agli 800A Studios e tra luglio e novembre del 2013 producono il loro primo primo EP Mojo rising, disco registrato e mixato da Fabio Rizzo (WAINES, Black Eyed Dog, Le Formiche, VeneziA, Hank).

L'EP è il frutto di questa lunga ricerca che cerca di giungere ad una sintesi che coniughi la grande passione per la psichedelia di matrice beatlesiana con atmosfere più desertiche e rock.

(ENG): Concreat were born in Palermo in 2008. They start as a trio composed by two guitars and drums, following the blues-garage style of bands like Blues Explosion, Black Keys and White Stripes. They take some home recordings and begin a live tour, after which they record a demo, mixed by Luca Macaluso (guitarist of GRANPA).

After a pause, Concreat get next to a more experimental approach, inspired by Psychedelic Rock and Desert-Stoner, never forgetting the great passion for Beatles music.

In 2012 a fourth member get in the band, playing bass, and keyboards are added at their sound; the band record a new track, “Tea in the desert” at 800A Studios and, after a good local success of the song, they produce the first ep “Mojo rising”, recorded and mixed by Fabio Rizzo (WAINES, Black Eyed Dog, Le Formiche, VeneziA, Hank).

The album is the result of this long research, which aim at combining the passion for psychedelic Beatlesian music with waste and dirty atmospheres.
