"La nascita della Al Berkowitz Band risale al 2006, anno in cui tre musicisti di Madrid, appena usciti da un’altra sfortunata esperienza musicale a nome The Inhabitants, incontrano Aldous B. Berkowitz, bluesman americano ormai in pensione. Quest’ultimo, a sua volta in giro per l’Europa già da tempo, aveva da poco visto fallire il suo progetto di mettere su una band che rinverdisse i fasti della sua musica di vecchio stampo, decidendo così di lasciare definitivamente quel mondo. All’invito dei tre ragazzi di diventare la loro guida musicale e spirituale, però, Berkowitz accetta immediatamente: nasce così un inusuale progetto che, influenzato da stili e band appartenenti ad epoche diverse, unisce pop, musica da camera, folk e blues." Uscito solo pochi mesi fa, "A long hereafter / Nothing beyond" è l'album più recente degli spagnoli Al Berkowitz e il brano concesso per la nostra compilation ne è la traccia di apertura.
